Poem #37: You Are Me

Your crooked spine
Is the bareback outline of a sea monster
Devouring the waves

Your face, the moon
Luminescent but for the shadows
Which scar you

I want to
Put all your pieces back together
Just to prove I can

I want to eclipse you
I want to stop you
I want to tame you

I want to learn your language
So that I, too,
May speak with the stars.

***
...wait, WHAT?
